Workout Routine: Gym Locker Essentials for Her

There is nothing like doing an intense workout and having to get home looking like you just fought in a war, but do not freak out if you get a little sweaty. With the right products, it can be easy to freshen up your face after your routine. If you are fortunate enough to have a personal locker in your local gym here are some gym locker essentials you can add in so that you can head on out looking and feeling fresh.

  • Dirty Clothes Bag and Shoe Bag

To prevent your sweaty gym attire from contaminating the rest of the content of your gym bag, be sure to pack in a separate bag to store them in. Do the same with your shoes if you have a separate pair to wear outside.

  • Zipper Pouch

Isn’t it just annoying to have all your toiletries just scattered there in your bag? To prevent this, you should have a separate pouch to store them in. This will also provide you with easier access to all the showering/cleaning up essential when you are in a rush.

  • Deodorant

Even though almost everyone uses it daily, sometimes we sweat a little more than expected. That is why having a deodorant is always good to have on hand. Avoid aluminium based products as they tend to clog pores, instead go for a natural deodorant that uses the lest ingredients.

  • Pads / Tampons

Typically working out would be the last thing you would want to do on your period, but if you really wanted to get a few routines done be sure to store some pads in your locker.

  • Towel / Flip Flops / Toiletries

These are things you should have if your locker if you plan on taking a shower at the gym.

  • Hair Brush

To comb down your hair after working out. This could also be used if you want to have a smooth ponytail before starting your routine.

  • Hair Ties / Bobby Pins / Headband

A good thing to keep in your locker in case you forget to bring some at home. No one wants to do their workout with their hair flying all over now, don’t we?

  • Baby Wipes

This one is optional, yet super useful. It could be used to clean up your hands or to freshen up your face after you have sweat or wipe off any other area like your neck, armpits, etc.

  • A Mirror

You can get the magnetic mirror to place in your locker or just get a handheld mirror, whichever works for you.

  • Hand / Body Lotion

This is for the times in winter when it’s cold and dry outdoors and your extremities start looking dry.

  • Dry Shampoo

Following along with the “I don’t have to shower” theme – toss some dry shampoo in your gym locker. It helps absorb the oil and sweat after a good workout, leaving you with presentable unwashed hair. I definitely consider it a gym locker essential.
